Marion Delous

After a thesis in human genetics at the Necker Enfants-Malades Hospital (Paris), which focused on the molecular and cellular basis of a rare pediatric genetic nephropathy, Marion Delous completed a post-doctoral internship in the laboratory of Prof. Didier Stainier at the University of California - San Francisco (USA) and the Max Planck Institute in Germany, during which she learned to use the zebrafish model in the field of developmental genetics. In 2013, she was recruited as an Inserm research fellow at the Institut Imagine of génétic diseases (Paris), and since 2018, has joined the GENDEV team at the CRNL (Lyon). She is now interested in a very rare microcephalic syndrome linked to minor splicing defects, and deploys several approaches to understand the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms, including the zebrafish model and cortical organoids.
