After a PhD obtained in Strasbourg and postdocs in Switzerland and the United States, Erika Cosset developed a research program focused on the study of galectin-3 and microRNAs at the Faculty of Medicine (University of Geneva), Switzerland. Recruited at the CNRS as a CRCN in 2021, she joined the Cancer Research Center of Lyon (CRCL) where her team is now developing research that aims to better identify and understand the mechanisms used by cancer cells to meet their metabolic needs and survive the stresses present in their microenvironment thanks to the support of ATIP-FinanceFuture and ANR-Tremplin ERC. As the winner of the 2021 ERC Starting Grant programme, her laboratory’s research focuses on understanding the mechanisms regulating macropinocytosis.
